Zikr means “remembering” and in Islam Zikr stands for remembering Allah and calling him. Although there are countless virtues, blessings, and benefits of Zikr, here we are discussing only twenty of them.
Taqwa is a deep, heartfelt awareness of Allah’s omnipresence, an ever-present sense of His watchfulness. It is the delicate balance between the fear of His displeasure and the hopeful anticipation of His mercy. This inner consciousness prompts Muslims to live righteously, with integrity both in public and in private.
"Whosoever remembers Me in his heart. I remember him in My heart." (Bukhâri & Muslim Sharief)
"I will reward one better who is engrossed in Zikr than the one who is busy in making Dua."So it is clear from above hadith the person who is involved and engrossed in Zikr will be rewarded better than a person who makes Dua. Making Dua is also a virtuous deed and we should make dua regularly it is better to engage ourselves in Zikr most of the times.
" لا يذكرون الله إلا قليلا
They do not remember Allah Ta’ala except very rarely."
